As a part of the beautification initiative of the City of Toronto and the reconstruction of the Humber River Structures program at the Q.E.W., Soncin won the contract to construct the Humber River Pedestrian Bridge. This structure has won critical acclaim for design and construction. The 200 ton steel arch structure, which spans the mouth of the Humber River, was constructed on land and launched across the Humber River to rest on its West abutment. This structure has been identified as a gateway structure and has become a defining landmark of the City of Toronto.
